Backpack Friday

Caring Kitchen partners with Urbana Schools to provide kid-friendly snacks and food items for those unfortunate children who have no food to eat over the weekend. Since the program's inception, the number of children each year has fluctuated between 190 and 260. If you would like to help with this program, please donate kid-friendly foods, such as:

  • Microwaveable items
  • Shelf-stable milk
  • Individual cereals
  • Individual packs of oatmeal
  • Pudding
  • Applesauce
  • Fruit cups
  • Pop tarts
  • Cookies
  • Breakfast bars
  • Boxed juices
  • Ramen noodles
  • Microwaveable Mac and Cheese

Donations accepted at the Caring Kitchen on behalf of the Backpack Program.
